Biodiversity

In the summer of 2008, student Sarah Willmann carried out a biodiversity work placement with SITA Cornwall. The placement entailed looking at our current contribution to biodiversity and proposing actions we can take to improve our contribution to biodiversity. Sarah published a report which details her findings as well as a biodiversity action plan.

Since the biodiversity report was completed almost two years ago, we have undertaken a planting scheme at Bodmin materials recycling facility. This has seen several species of tree planted outside the visitor centre to improve the area’s biodiversity.
