From 01 September 2014, Cornwall Council will introduce charges for disposing of certain types of waste at its household waste recycling centres.

From Bodmin clock tower take the A390 to St Austell. Just before you enter Lanivet ,turn right onto Old Coach road signposted Lamorick. Continue through Lamorick. The HWRC is at the top of the hill on your right.


For safety reasons, no public pedestrian access is allowed through the entrance or exit gates of this household waste recycling centre.

Opening times

This site is open from 9am to 4pm, seven days a week, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Avoid queueing: This site is usually quieter between 10am and 12pm.

Recycling rate

In July 2015, this site achieved a recycling rate of 59%.

Tips on recycling at HWRCs

  • Separate your waste before you visit the HWRC.
  • If possible, visit the HWRC during weekdays when it is less busy.
  • Please be patient while the HWRC is closed for exchanging skips - it's for your own safety.
  • Only bring household waste to the HWRC, trade waste is not accepted.
