Directions

From Bude town centre take the A39 to Kilkhampton. After passing through Stratton, turn left off the A39 to Tiscott wood, where the HWRC is located.

Opening times

This site is open from 9am to 4pm, seven days a week, except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

Avoid queueing: This site is usually quieter between 11am and 3pm.

Top tips on recycling at HWRCs

  • Separate your waste before you visit the HWRC
  • If possible visit the HWRC during weekdays when it is less busy
  • Please be patient while the HWRC is closed for exchanging skips- it's for your own safety
  • Only bring household waste to the HWRC, trade waste is not accepted
