With over one million visitors bringing often sharp and heavy waste into recycling centres every year, HWRCs can be dangerous places and visitors need to be aware of potential hazards. We are currently distributing leaflets on our sites which explain the best way to lift bulky objects from cars, handle sharp objects, dress appropriately and report accidents.
