Cornish residents in the North Cornwall and Caradon areas can now contact SITA Cornwall directly for help with kerbside recycling enquiries, recycling sack orders and other recycling related questions, queries and complaints.
New helpdesk for recycling enquiries
Cornish residents in the North Cornwall and Caradon areas can now contact SITA Cornwall directly for help with kerbside recycling enquiries, recycling sack orders and other recycling related questions, queries and complaints.
The SITA Cornwall helpdesk is now taking enquiries for the North Cornwall District Council household recycling service and can be contacted by phone on 08456 300 300, by fax on 01326 371 247 or by email at: cornwallhelpdesk@sita.co.uk The helpdesk is open Monday to Friday between 9am–5pm.
The helpdesk is available to answer all enquiries on:
- kerbside collections in the North Cornwall and Caradon areas
- ordering more recycling sacks or a leaflet/calendar in the North Cornwall area.
- recycling centres in Cornwall and the materials accepted at each centre
- contact details of local organisations who collect and accept items for reuse
- general advice on how to reduce, reuse and recycle waste.
Susan MacDonald, Customer Helpdesk Adviser said: “We hope to provide an excellent service by answering enquiries quickly and efficiently. We can answer most questions on recycling in Cornwall and to help us improve our service for local residents we are a direct line for customers to contact us to let us know when we are doing well but more importantly when we are not meeting the standards that customers expect.’
Verity Palk, Waste Minimisation Manager at North Cornwall District Council said: “ We are pleased that this service has been set-up as it means that we can provide an even more extensive service to our residents and ensure that recycling advice and our recycling services are even more accessible”.
