SITA Cornwall launches website
Recycling and waste management company, SITA Cornwall has launched a website to share news and to hear feedback The new website at www.sitacornwall.co.uk features useful information about the company and its facilities, along with advice for residents on how to manage their waste effectively.
Homeowners and traders are encouraged to visit the website to find out how and where to recycle, with tips on how to re-use items, start composting and become eco-friendly in the home and at work.
Louis de Poncheville, SITA Cornwall’s general manager, said: “It has taken a long time to develop the website because we were so keen to get it right. It is there to be a direct link between the community and the company as well as a useful resource to individuals, schools and businesses. For example, last week we held an exhibition about our plans for the energy recovery centre at St Dennis and while large numbers of people came and discussed the issues with us there will be many more who could not be there. The website has all the information about that and other developments that we want local people to ask questions and to comment upon.”
The website also provides news updates and information on events. Links to community groups and partner organisations are provided so that residents can contact local projects, which also, like SITA Cornwall, treat waste as a resource. Visitors to the website can also leave feedback and questions that SITA Cornwall staff will be happy to answer.
